HRIS-Integrated Groups

Understanding the override and communicating it to your groups

How it works

When a group uses an HRIS system integrated with Yuzu, their employee data is managed through automated file feeds rather than through us directly. Each time we receive an HRIS file, it overrides everything we currently have on record - including any manual changes made on our end. By sending us their HRIS file, the group is attesting that it is accurate.

Why changes appear to revert

The most common issue this creates is a change that seems to "revert." For example, an employee's email is updated with us, but the following month it's back to the old value. This isn't an error - the next HRIS file simply replaced it. The fix has to happen at the source, not with us.

Your role as a PD

Make sure your groups understand this before it becomes a problem. They need to know that any updates to employee or dependent information - contact details, enrollment changes, terminations - must be made in their HRIS system. Changes submitted directly to Yuzu are temporary and will not persist past the next file we receive.
