HRIS: Open Enrollment / Renewals

HRIS Open Enrollment. Initial Enrollment. HRIS Renewal.

Open Enrollment

While we strongly prefer uploading of a census into the portal, Yuzu supports utilizing HRIS connections for Open Enrollment. However, by utilizing this approach it will significantly need to push up the groups timeline as the file feed must be established a month prior to the go-live for the group.

Establishing a working file feed when utilizing Employee Navigator can be done in a few hours and is feasible to do on a quick turnaround. However, if another HRIS system is being utilized please reach out to your contact multiple months before plan go-live to ensure we can establish a data feed. Yuzu reserves the right to quest a standard census upload if there is added difficulties or slow response times from the HRIS contact person. Then, post go-live we can set up a file feed. This is the preferred approach by many as it often is significantly more streamlined.

Renewals

Yuzu supports HRIS renewals without the need for a new data feed to be created or an alternate file naming convention to be used.

However, when the following methodology for the renewal must be utilized by the HRIS:

  1. Final enrollment for the plan year is sent and ingested by Yuzu

  2. Broker finalizes open enrollment and sends the next plan year's enrollment. This will include start dates that reflect the first day of the new plan year.

  3. Enrollments for the prior plan year and associated start dates are no longer sent.

  4. Post go-live, enrollments return to being sent at the standard cadence (weekly on a Monday)

Note: Plan numbers and group numbers may change from year to year. Please update these accordingly in the HRIS. This is the most common fail point for renewals.
